How to find a job: The number one mistake job seekers make (Part 7)

Amy from Snagajob talks about how to find a job and the number one mistake job seekers make on job applications and resumes. Hi, I’m Amy. I work at Snagajob and today we’re going to talk about how to find a job. Specifically, we’re going to talk about the number one error that you see on resumes and applications. I’ve made this mistake and every single resume I’ve ever checked, or application I’ve ever helped someone fill out, has had the same problem. It’s great to catch. Spelling errors and typos are the number one mistake recruiters report to us they see and other job seekers have told us they make it, and it can absolutely keep you from getting hired. Professional recruiters we work with confirm that a lot of times applications with spelling errors and typos wind up in the trash. That can sound pretty harsh, especially if you’ve been filling out a lot of applications, it’s easy to get tired and make mistakes. Sometimes the job doesn’t even have to do with spelling, so why do employers care so much about whether or not you’ve made a typo on your resume or application? Choosing not to spell check your application or resume shows the recruiter that you’re just not as interested in the job as somebody who has taken the time to edit and spell check carefully. Editing your resume doesn’t just catch things like typos. It also catches when you misspell your email address or insert your best friend’s phone number instead of your own because you’re more used to writing it down

Lingo Spelling Mistakes – Part 6!

Inspired by BeaStarEnt, I decided to make my own part of the series and compile a small series of Lingo mispellings that I thought were worthy of showcasing. And I say “small, SMALL,” because I have a lot more that I have still to upload! :D NOTE: I do not take credit for the footage shown in this video. Lingo is owned by the Game Show Network (see that logo in the upper-right?). I am just a fan that wants to share it with the world.

Love The Way You Lie Part II – Skylar Grey ft. Eminem

**I found some spelling errors after I already uploaded the video and I’m not re-making it because that would be completely pointless. So no comments on grammar because I’m already aware. Thanks.** comment/rate/subscribe :) Skylar Grey is the original writer of Rihanna’s parts in Love The Way You Lie part I and part II. I think she sings it way better, so I took Skylar’s version of the song and added Eminem’s part in it, and made a lyrics video. The real reason I made this though was because I didn’t have internet at the time and I was bored on my laptop, so I apologize if there are any spelling mistakes or wrong words because I had no internet to correct my spelling, I did it all by ear. So no hate comments about the lyrics please -.-..
